Today I started Tindamax, used by Lyme-Literate docs as a cyst buster. When Lyme Bacteria dies (thanks to Doxycycline, another antibiotic or herbal remedy), it spins off into a cyst, which can regenerate later. So, you can't just kill the bacteria. You have to 'clean up' with a cyst buster, like Tindamax (or Tindy, as Lymies often refer to it.)` I only take it for three days and I pulse it ever other weekend, so that the 'bugs' (aka Lyme bacteria) don't get wise and hide. The fact that it is only 3 days every other week should also tell you something about it. It's a BEAST. Most doctors have you take it Friday, Saturday and Sunday so that by Monday, you can function...hopefully.

Fitting It In
I am a stay-at-home Mom who 'moonlights' as a yoga instructor. OK, not really MOONLIGHTS. I teach three classes...Sunday, Monday and Wednesday evenings. So, I need to be able to function every day of the week. I have two small children who rely on me to keep them safe and entertained every day and three days a week, a group of people trust me to lead them through a safe, relaxing practice...which they are paying me for. So, I started it today, Thursday, in hopes that if it DOES effect me in a not-so-friendly manner, I will be functional enough to leave the house and lead a zen-inducing class on Sunday evening.

The Lyme Juggling Act
Now, adding in Tindamax and the herbal remedy A-Bab, which I started last week, to my already busy pill-taking schedule is quite challenging. There are many rules, such as 'take your supplements no less than two hours before and after an antibiotic' and 'do not take your antibiotics together' and 'never take your antibiotic on an empty stomach' and 'sit up for 20 minutes after this one or you'll throw it up...and everything else in your stomach.' So, now I have an alarm set every two hours from 8am till 11pm  to take one thing or the other. It is a big juggling act, as one Lyme friend told me recently.

Tindy comes with another BIG rule: "Don't have any alcohol...not even mouthwash for three days before AND after!" my friends and pharmacist warned. So, what happens if I do mix this Tindamax with alcohol, even a little bit? Bad nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and severe tremors, to name a few. And if you happen to mix Tindamax with alcohol AND disulfiram (another drug, which I am not thankfully not taking), "a severe mental disorder can occur." No alcohol...check.

The First Dose
Today I had the pleasure of having coffee with some other moms. While there, my Tindy alarm went off. I was just explaining about my treatment and the number of antibiotics and supplements I was taking. "This is the first time I'm taking this one," I said, "and it's supposed to be a pretty bad one." One Mom responded, "Maybe we should toast to it, then!" Good idea. :) Down the hatch. CHEERS! I swallowed it down with a swig of decaf coffee at the great new French cafe one of the Moms had recommended. I know, decaf coffee is a no-no. Any kind of coffee, actually. *SIGH* Well, so far, so good, but major herxing doesn't usually kick in right away. I'll keep you posted.

*A-Bab Update:
I started A-Bab on the 21st. You may remember, my last post said my experience thus far (only 2 doses) was 'uneventful.' Well, the funny thing about Lyme is, the symptoms don't always stand out as, well, a symptom. One of my longest running symptoms and sometimes the most debilitating, is anxiety. The last few days have been like one big anxiety attack...air hunger, chest constrictions, teeth-grinding, insomnia, shaky hands, heart palpitations, inability to focus, paranoia, etc. It makes sense. A-Bab treats Babesia and one of the symptoms of Babs is, you guessed it, anxiety! Well, at least we know it's working! It is such an odd feeling to be happy when I feel worse! Such a crazy journey this Lyme treatment is!

SourceAsk anyone with Lyme Disease and they will tell you...it is hard for people to understand what we are going through, because...well, we don't look sick. At least not usually. Honestly, it doesn't bother me. I mean, if I'm going to feel like crap, I'd rather not look like it too. But, it does make it difficult, because on a day when I am in pain, fighting a sinus headache, having a major anxiety attack, experiencing short of breath, have intestinal cramps, feel like I'm walking through mud, can't focus on any one thing for more than 30 seconds due to brain fog and feel like I need a cane just to hold me up...people think I'm fine. It's totally understandable! I don't look sick.

Also, I do what I can to mask symptoms, which doesn't help people understand what I'm going through either. On a day when I am having difficulty moving, I may support myself with a hand on the wall as I walk, but only if I think no one is looking. If I am teaching a class or having a conversation, sometimes I lose a word or stutter or say knee when I mean elbow. During these instances, I make a joke and we laugh it off. If I'm tired (and it shows), a little Eye Creme goes a long way. Sometimes, though, symptoms are hard to hide. Like when I am in the middle of a conversation and I forget what I was talking about...mid-sentence. Or when I can't remember a person's name that I definitely should remember. Or when I can't breathe simply because I walked from one room to the other or bent down to pick something up. But, it's all good. At least I don't look sick!

Now, I'm out and about a lot. Between teaching yoga classes, taking my son to school, doctor's appointments, visiting friends and family, I interact with a lot of people each day. Often, someone will ask: "how are you?" To me this question presents a dilemma. I don't want to lie, but I also don't want to unload on anyone with the multitude of bad things that are happening in my body at that particular moment. Do they really want to know? Are they asking to be polite? Either way, what I'm going through is no fun, so hearing about it can't be much fun either. However, I could talk about Lyme for hours. HOURS. So, listener beware! Asking a simple question like "how are you?" can unleash an hour-long depressing rant about the politics of this controversial disease, how I can't eat anything I want to eat and my fears about my children's future as they fight this disease. That's what's weighing on my heart right now, so I can't help myself! Hmmmm. Maybe we should think of a safe word. You know, so in case I ramble on and on and you just want me to shut up. Or how about you just make up some excuse to get away...as quickly as possible...like your house is on fire or you just saw the bat signal.

I've had Lyme for a long, long time, so my 'normal' is anything but. To me, though, it's life. I felt even half as bad as I do each day, I would think I was cured (forget the fact that there is no cure for Chronic Lyme!) Any relief from symptoms would be a tremendous gift. Ultimately, though, what we're working towards is the day when I don't look sick because...I'm not!Be a Fan

3. Allergenic - an allergic reaction to numerous things; food ingredients, synthetic and natural fibers, medications and pharmaceutical products, plant material and even dust. All other causes must be ruled out before this diagnosis is used.
4. Environmental - itching brought on by what the dog is exposed to in his environment; swimming, digging, romping through fields. If the dog is sensitive to grasses or gets scrapes and cut, the wound often stays moist, bacteria sets in and causes an infection. This is most often referred to as a "hot spot."
5. Nutritional - due to imbalanced diet without proper nutrition. This dog skin problem is often caused by the owner feeding the dog an inferior dog food. Just because a brand of dog food states, "Complete and Balanced" doesn't mean it is a good source of nutrition for your dog. Owners will often opt for cheaper dog food and feel secure that they are feeding their dog a good diet because they fall for false advertising. Remember, false advertising is just as prevalent when it comes to pet products as it is in human products.
6. Parasitic - fleas, ticks, chiggers, deer flies, and gnats are the most common parasites that cause your dog's skin problem. Repeated exposure to these parasites can cause sensitivity and eventually infection. Cheyletiella mites, often referred to as "walking dandruff" and Sarcoptic mites which are called scabies or red mange, are much more serious. These mites cause very intense itching and scratching, hair loss and inflamed skin.

'I wanted to talk about dying'

Last February, Maple Grove resident Sue Nelson felt she had hit rock bottom.

She was in constant pain that worsened daily and had been to every doctor and specialist she thought was possible, incurring above $300,000 in medical expenses.

"I laid in bed thinking 'this is it'. I couldn't do anything. I couldn't walk, sleep or function in daily life. There were no more doctors. No more tests. I wanted to talk about dying. I thought that is where the pain would lead me," Nelson said.

After all the doctors and multitude of tests, Nelson was left with no diagnosis and a life of consent pain.

"I wanted to talk about dying. I wanted to make peace with myself and make preparations. My mom was the first one willing to talk about my wishes and it was like admitting I was going to die," said Nelson. "I prayed I would die quickly or receive an answer as to why I was so sick. During our conversation, out of the blue, my mom mentioned Lyme disease."

Little would Nelson realize, the conversation about the possible end of her life would lead her to the discovery that would allow her to live her life again.

Nelson was diagnosed with Lyme and Bartonella disease in March 2005. The diagnosis and treatment, she explained with a smile, is letting her live her life again.

Although Nelson cannot determine the date she contracted the diseases, she started developing symptoms in August 2004. She did not experience the classic "bulls eye rash" associated with Lyme disease, which may have led to an earlier diagnosis. Symptoms began in the form of the feeling of pins and needles in her feet. "It was unusual, but nothing other than a minor annoyance," said Nelson. "I knew something was wrong, but it wasn't anything I felt I should see a doctor about."

In November 2004, existing symptoms had worsened, spreading through her body and additional symptoms appeared. Nelson decided it was time to visit a doctor when she could no longer sleep at night due to a resting heartbeat of 90-120 beats per minute. According to the American Heart Association, the average individual has a resting heart rate of 60 to 80 beats per minute. She was placed on high blood pressure medication, but symptoms continued to worsen and new symptoms continued to appear.

"I started having a consent buzzing feeling in my body," explained Nelson. "Eventually, I had fainting episodes, mini seizures and convulsions."

In addition to a general practitioner, Nelson visited a stream of specialists ranging from cardiologists to infectious disease specialists and had a multitude of tests performed. Nelson indicated that a test was completed for Lyme disease, but it had provided a false negative.

During one of her many clinic visits, Nelson was advised her problems stemmed from depression due to her age and circumstances.

"I was insulted, but I went along with the antidepressants with the hopes it would cure me. Everything continued to get worse," said Nelson. "I was so scared. By the time I had scheduled the multiple appointments and tests, I was numb up my left foot to my ankle. My right foot and right hand were numb along with the right side of my face. The usual sensations I had felt with my hand were gone. If I tried to pet the dog, I couldn't feel anything."

According to the Lyme Disease Foundation, Lyme disease symptoms can often imitate other diseases and can be misdiagnosed. Some individuals do not notice the early indicators of the disease, such as flu-like feelings of headache, stiff neck, fever, muscle aches, fatigue and a possible rash from the bite. Once early indicators of the infection disappear, the disease can disseminate to other organs. The LDF indicates Lyme disease can adversely affect many portions of the body, such as the brain, eyes, skin, heart, joints, liver, lungs, muscles, digestive system and spleen and can affect pregnancy.

As time progressed, Nelson made repeated visits to the emergency room. Her ability to walk was gone. She no longer could complete simple, daily functions such as changing her clothes, bathing or brushing her teeth. Husband, Mike, and daughter, Madelyn, assumed the role as her caregiver. Since she is self-employed, she was did not receive disability benefits and was unable to continue working.

Then Nelson found her answer.

As she discussed her illness and what appeared to be a fatal outcome with her mother on the cold winter day, her mother mentioned Lyme disease and its symptoms. The discussion lead to research on the Internet and the shocking discovery that a majority of the symptoms Nelson was experiencing were also found in Lyme disease patients.

"I couldn't find any Lyme disease doctors in Minnesota or Wisconsin to confirm what I felt was wrong with me," explained Nelson. A specialist was located in Missouri and Nelson, accompanied by her husband, set an appointment.

"At that point, I had to ride in a wheelchair and be carried by Mike. I could barely handle the plane ride due to the pain," said Nelson.

Once at the Missouri clinic, a Western Blot test was done and sent to the Center for Disease Control lab and a Lyme lab, IgeneX Inc., in Texas. Nelson had been advised that it was the most clinically accepted test available. The test came back positive and Nelson began antibiotic treatment immediately. Her doctor also diagnosed her with Bartonella based on clinical observation, which involved a review of pictures and Nelson's recounting of an episode of being bit by sand flies in March 2004 while vacationing in the Caribbean.

Nine months after the diagnosis of Lyme and Bartonella, Nelson continues to improve. She has resumed her business and continues to strive toward a complete recovery while dealing with lingering systems such as cold hands and feet, ringing in the ears and tiring more easily.

Although she is significantly improved, Nelson still requires ongoing medical treatment.

"I need to take several types of antibiotics to ensure that I totally wipe out all forms of the Lyme bacteria in my system. I also take a lot of supplements aimed at fighting Lyme disease," said Nelson.

According to Nelson, she also took an antibiotic called Rifampin that was used specifically to treat Bartonella. "How one responds to an antibiotic is also an excellent indicator of which type of diseases one has," said Nelson.

Along with the ongoing antibiotic treatment, she continues to have a phone consultation with her Lyme doctor every four to six months and yearly visits. She also continues to have regular lab work done at a local clinic, which is faxed to the Missouri physician, to ensure there are no negative side effects from the long-term antibiotic usage.

Upon looking back, Nelson feels that the diseases have changed her life.

"Mike, Madelyn and my mom came through for me and they proved to be my saviors. I was also very surprised at other family members and friends who were there for me and so wonderful. I now personally have much more awareness of others around me who have special needs," said Nelson. "I feel less concerned about the day-to-day stuff and know that it will all work out. I try to remember on a daily basis how far I have come and how lucky I am to be walking around and just doing the small stuff."

Study: Napoleon's Army Destroyed by Lice

Lice played a key role in Napoleon Bonaparte's disastrous invasion of Russia in 1812, according to genetic research into the skeletal remains of the ill-fated army.

Napoleon marched into Russia in the summer of 1812, leading the largest army Europe had ever seen, some half million soldiers, toward Moscow.

The invasion was the French emperor's answer to tzar Alexander I's refusal of the Continental System, a system of economic preference and protection within Europe aimed to exclude British trade and reinforce the French economy at the expense of the other states.

Six months later, the Grande Armée was reduced to 25,000 men who retreated to Vilnius, Lithuania, in the freezing cold. Only 3,000 survived the war, weather and disease to continue the retreat. The dead were buried in mass graves.

One such grave, containing between 2,000 and 3,000 corpses, was discovered in 2001 in Vilnius during some construction work.

Analysis of the remains produced hard genetic evidence that louse-borne pathogens were a major factor in the French retreat from Russia, Didier Raoult, of the Université de la Méditerranée in Marseille, and colleagues reported in the January issue of The Journal of Infectious Diseases.

"We believe that louse-borne diseases caused much of the death of Napoleon's army," Raoult told Discovery News.

Human body lice transmit Borrelia recurrentis, Bartonella quintana and Rickettsia prowazekii, the agents of louse-borne relapsing fever, trench fever and epidemic typhus, respectively.

Raoult and colleagues analyzed two kilograms of earth from the mass grave containing bone fragments and remnants of clothing and identified body segments of five lice.

Three of them carried DNA from relapsing fever.

The scientists then analyzed dental pulp from 72 teeth, taken from the remains of 35 soldiers. The sequencing revealed DNA of Bartonella quintana in seven soldiers.

"We believe that these findings provide firm evidence that the soldiers had trench fever," wrote the researchers.

The team also detected the DNA of Rickettsia prowazekii in three other soldiers, indicating that Napoleon's army also suffered from epidemic typhus.

Overall, nearly one-third of Napoleon's soldiers buried in Vilnius were affected by louse-borne infectious diseases, the researchers concluded.

"This is very important and exciting research because it provides compelling physical evidence for the impact of louse-borne diseases on Grand Army troops during Napoleon's invasion of, and retreat from, Russia," Robert Peterson, an expert of insect ecology and agricultural and biological risk assessment at Montana State University, told Discovery News.

AURORA, Colo. — The text message, sent to another graduate student in early July, was cryptic and worrisome. Had she heard of “dysphoric mania,” James Eagan Holmes wanted to know?

The psychiatric condition, a form of bipolar disorder, combines the frenetic energy of mania with the agitation, dark thoughts and in some cases paranoid delusions of major depression.She messaged back, asking him if dysphoric mania could be managed with treatment. Mr. Holmes replied: “It was,” but added that she should stay away from him “because I am bad news.”It was the last she heard from him.About two weeks later, minutes into a special midnight screening of “The Dark Knight Rises” on July 20, Mr. Holmes, encased in armor, his hair tinted orange, a gas mask obscuring his face, stepped through the emergency exit of a sold-out movie theater here and opened fire. By the time it was over, there were 12 dead and 58 wounded.The ferocity of the attack, its setting, its sheer magnitude — more people were killed and injured in the shooting than in any in the country’s history — shocked even a nation largely inured to random outbursts of violence.But Mr. Holmes, 24, who was arrested outside the theater and has been charged in the shootings, has remained an enigma, his life and his motives cloaked by two court orders that have imposed a virtual blackout on information in the case and by the silence of the University of Colorado, Denver, where Mr. Holmes was until June a graduate student in neuroscience.Unlike Wade M. Page, who soon after the theater shooting opened fire at a Sikh temple in Wisconsin, killing six people, Mr. Holmes left no trail of hate and destruction behind him, no telling imprints in the electronic world, not even a Facebook page.Yet as time has passed, a clearer picture has begun to surface. Prosecutors: Holmes was banned from university after threats

(CBS/AP) DENVER - Prosecutors say the suspect in the Colorado theater shooting made threats and was banned from the University of Colorado after failing a key exam six weeks before the rampage.Prosecutors made the accusations about James Holmes in court Thursday as they tried to convince a judge to let them see records from the university, where Holmes had been a neuroscience doctoral candidate.Prosecutors also claim professors had urged Holmes to get into another line of work before the shooting and invalidated his student ID in June. Attorney Karen Pearson didn't disclose where their information came from.Defense lawyer Daniel King objected to the release of the records, calling the prosecution's request a "fishing expedition.""They already know all about Mr. Holmes' history at CU. Why is it necessary to get more information when they have all the evidence, they have what they're seeking?" he said.King added that the "prosecution is fishing around looking for motive. Motive is irrelevant. Intent is irrelevant."Defense attorney Tamara Brady's legal reasoning about why Holmes' educational records should be off limits is unavailable. James Holmes saw three mental health professionals before shooting

(CBS News) Alleged Aurora, Colo, shooter James Holmes met with not one, but at least three mental health professionals at the University of Colorado prior to the massacre. How long he met with each one and the depth of their involvement is not clear, but it adds to the picture of Holmes being clearly on their radar in the time period leading up to the shootings. When contacted by CBS News, school spokesperson Jacque Montgomery declined comment, citing a judge's gag order.At the University of Colorado Anschutz Campus, James Holmes had been a PhD student in neuroscience. But last June, he dropped out and was buying guns. Before he left this campus, he had seen at least three mental health professionals associated with student mental health services.Only one name has been publicly disclosed: Dr. Lynne Fenton, who is subpoenaed to appear in court in the Holmes case. At issue is a package mailed by Holmes to her and recovered in the campus mail room three days after the shootings. Holmes lawyers say it is priviledged material. Legal analyst Raj Chohan says they want to prevent the prosecution from using it, and have it turned over to them now."The defense is going to have every opportunity to present a competent defense and that means Mr, Holmes is going to be able to gain access to all the documents he may have put out there and authored himself," Chohan said.That includes Holmes medical records. His name was brought to the attention of the university's Behavior Evaluation and Threat Assessment team or BETA for short. Holmes officially evicted from Aurora home

(CBS/AP) DENVER - James Holmes, the man accused of killing 12 people and injuring 58 others during a shooting rampage at an Aurora movie theater last month, has been officially evicted from his apartment as he awaits trial.According to the Adams County Sheriff's Office, a default judgment for possession was granted Wednesday to Holmes' landlord and the apartment will soon be available for rent."There was still some personal property there, like clothing and his bed, but that was all recently removed by his public defenders," Adams County sheriff's spokesman Terrance O'Neill said, as reported by the Denver Post.The eviction notice cited Holmes as having "murdered numerous individuals, materially and substantially damaged the premises and booby-trapped the premises substantially endangering property and person."Holmes attended the brief procedural hearing Thursday in which the prosecution sought the judge's permission to release contact information on those killed and injured. The organization must keep the information confidential.
Holmes was wide-eyed but didn't show any reaction. Gallagher, 46, of Denver, went swimming in West Lake Okoboji the night of Aug. 6 and her body was found the next day, according to the Sheriff's Office in Dickinson County, Iowa.

Gallagher, an Ireland native, worked at the University of Colorado Hospital for 13 years and cared especially for a shooting victim treated in the hospital's neurological intensive care unit, which she helped open. She was among staffers who met with President Barack Obama during his visit two days after the July 20 shooting rampage that killed 12 and wounded 58 at the Century Aurora 16 theater.
The hospital's nursing chief officer, Carolyn Sanders, said Gallagher was a "beloved nurse" who was well known for her ability to connect with people and develop caring relationships with her patients.Her husband of seven years, Greg Pinson, told the Evening Herald newspaper of Dublin that his wife “loved saving lives” and was a “wonderful mother” to their son Jack, 5.

“We’re struggling to cope without her,” Pinson told the Herald.

He said he and Jack had gone to sleep when Gallagher and her friend took a boat out on the lake to go swimming.

"She wasn't a very strong swimmer and I suppose she just wasn't able to stay afloat. The hardest thing is I may never know what really happened to Jenny," Pinson said.

James Holmes’ Pictures Don’t Match

I’m not thrilled about publishing this and putting it out there. I’m deeply upset by what happened in Colorado and I feel for all of the families, victims and people effected by this tragedy. However, I feel like I’m faced with a situation where I have to at least ask the question and let you, the people out there reading this, decide for yourself. After some soul searching and staring at pictures of James Holmes for hours, I’ve come to feel that some of the pictures just don’t add up. Let me please state for the record that I am in no way, shape or form an image analyst, do I have any graphic designexperience or anything that certifies me to be asking this question. I am just a journalist seeking the truth and looking for answers.

The Picture Comparison Is At The Bottom

I didn’t come up with the idea of these pictures of James Holmes not matching myself. In order to stay on top of trends, news and things that could become potential news, I follow and track at least thirty different websites and tools. I ran across a post on a conspiracy website called Godlike Productions that posed the idea that a picture comparison of these two pictures reveal differences as quoted from the site, “NOT THE SAME NOSE and EYE COLOR.” This site is good at uncovering news and finding breaking trends but it really does run on the line of insanity, speculation and sometimes just ridiculousness.With that said, I took the pictures from two prominent news websites myself and analyzed them. The extremely amateur analysis I did below tries to compare features from James Holmes’ facial structure, his eyes, ears, eyebrows, Adam’s apple, the base of his nose, bridge of his nose and his forehead.I didn’t find answers but only more questions. Now I’m looking for your opinions and comments about what I did wrong and how my analysis doesn’t add up.The first picture on the left I found on a story in USMagazine.com titled, “The Dark Knight Rises Shooting Suspect James Holmes Told Police He’s “The Joker”.” The second picture on the right I found on a story from the NYDailyNews.com titled, “Aurora, Colo. theater shooter James Holmes makes first court appearance for killing 12, wounding 58 at ‘Dark Knight’ screening.” USMagazine.com says their picture came from the University of Colorado / Splash News and NYDailyNews.com says their picture is the official mugshot picture of James Holmes.So let’s jump onto the crazy train and look at the differences between these pictures and see where we end up, shall we?

First Comparison James Holmes’ Bottom Part of Nose

Okay, so really, what is the deal here? Is it because James on the right is titling his head up and it makes the base of his nose less fat and less wide? Is that possible? The tip of the nose on James with red hair is much more pointy and shaped like a ball with the James with dark hair from University of Colorado’s source is less pointy and flows down into the nostrils more. The nostrils on James on the left seem to be wider in circumference as well with the left nostril almost possibly being bigger than the right. The James on the right with red hair has a nice small set of rounded holes for nostrils. The skin below the nose that connects down to the lips also seems to be more prominent, up higher and more visible on James with red hair. However, the skin below the nose differences I could completely let be a lighting anomaly.

Second Comparison James Holmes’ Right Eye

Let’s start off this one with the obvious, the lighting of these pictures clearly makes the color look quite a bit different. The James on the left from University of CO still looks to have much darker eyes than Red haired “Joker” James. The eyes on red haired James also seem to be a lot smaller with more white in the eye with the James on the left having more prominent and bigger eyes with the white being a smaller portion of the eye. James on the left at University of Colorado has big puffy bags under his eye where the James with red hair in the mugshot really has almost no bags of puffiness under his eyes at all. The bone structure above the eyelid seems to curve differently in both James pictures with more space for the eyelid to show on James on the right. This could be because the James on the right has his head tilted back revealing more eyelid providing an illusion. The eyelids are also bigger on the James on the right compared to the James on the left but this could be that he is extremely tired after a shooting rampage and being jailed?

Third Comparison James Holmes’ Adam’s Apple

Now this one is really stretching it, I know, but the Adam’s apple on the James Holmes on the right really seems to be more pointy and bony with the James Holmes on the left being more smooth and not sticking out of his neck as much. Once again, did James on the right have his head tilted back making his Adam’s apple stick out? Quite possibly. Look to the left of red haired James Holmes’ Adam’s apple and notice that little freckle or mole, see it? Well, I clearly don’t see that freckle or mole on the James Holmes on the left hand side, it’s just simply not there.

Fourth Comparison James Holmes’ Right Ear

Okay, I’m not going to lie, this comparison is pretty weak on this part of James’ features that don’t match up. The ear looks to be smaller and pushed back further to the back of the head on the James picture from University of Colorado. The earlobe on the red haired “The Joker” James on the right seems to be fatter and wider but it’s really hard to tell with the sideburns getting the way of James Holmes’s ear on the left.

Fifth Comparison James Holmes’ Right Eyebrow

A smiling face and a blank look could really produce a different curvature of an eyebrow on just about anyone I would think. That makes the case for the curvature of the eyebrow being much more curved on the red haired James on the right side compared to the James on the left side not very concrete. What does stand out to me though is that the amount of hair in the eyebrow on the James Holmes left picture is thicker on the left but has some weird absence in the middle. The James Holmes on the right has a very light amount of hair in the eyebrow and it is pretty consistent all the way through without any weird breaks in the hair from left to right. The hair on the red haired James Holmes also seems to trail off into a point where the James Holmes on the left really end quite weird and choppy.

Sixth Comparison James Holmes’ Left Eyebrow

I see big difference in the curvature of the eyebrows on the left eyebrow as well. The red haired James on the right has an arched curve that sharply goes down on the left hand edge towards his ear. The James on the left has a broad thick eyebrow that doesn’t have an ending arch that goes downward but just kind of fades away at the end. Another bizarre thing about the James Holmes eyebrow on the left is that it seems so close to the crease of his eyelid where the James Holmes on the right has a lot of space in between the bottom edge of the eyebrow and the top crease of the eyelid.

Seventh Comparison James Holmes’ Nose Bridge

This is another comparison where the lighting of the pictures really stands out and makes a case for the fact that any discrepancies could just be a light illusion. The bridge of the nose on James Holmes with red hair is much more prominent and bony with sharp lines and a steeper drop towards the eye. You can see red above the bridge and below on the nose, this may be sunburn or from the gas mask that James was wearing when he went into the theater. The James Holmes nose bridge on the left from the University of Colorado is wider and with that thickness to it, it also has a more gradual slope down towards the eyes. There are no sharp lines on the bridge of James Holmes’ nose on the left hand side with all smooth contours.

James Holmes referred to University of Colorado threat-assessment team, sources say

The University of Colorado Denver psychiatrist seeing accused murderer James Eagan Holmes was so alarmed by his behavior that she notified the campus-wide threat-assessment team that she helped create years before, a source told The Denver Post.Dr. Lynne Fenton, identified in a court document as Holmes' psychiatrist, in June took her concerns to members of the campus' Behavioral Evaluation and Threat Assessment team, but no further action was taken, a source with knowledge of the process told The Post.University officials could not confirm or deny the report, citing the federal health privacy law and a judge's gag order in the case against Holmes.The information was first reported late Wednesday by Denver's KMGH-TV, 7News. The station, citing unnamed sources, reported that CU-Denver officials did not contact Aurora police before the July 20 massacre at the Century Aurora 16 theater that killed 12 people and injured 58 others. There was no mention in the report of whether CU-Denver police were notified.The Anschutz Medical Campus, where Holmes, 24, was enrolled in a doctoral program, is in Aurora.He has been charged with 24 counts of first-degree murder and 116 counts of attempted murder in the case.Fenton, director of student mental health services on the Anschutz Medical Campus, in 2010 was involved in the creation of the campus BETA team. Students studying under an elite neuroscience program would be learning and on the literal cutting edge of developing military and intelligence applications, basically working and learning about forms of mind control.

• On the same day as the Aurora massacre, Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine held an identical drill that simulated a shooter in a movie theater.

• ABC News as well as other corporate media outlets initially reported multiple suspects before the official “story” was fed into the newsrooms by government and law enforcement officials.

• Witnesses inside the theater have stated that someone actually stood up in the theater after receiving a phone call and proceeded to walk towards the emergency exit that was later used by the shooter. He then proceeded to prop open the door in some way.

• A 1986 Dark Knight comic actually foretold the theater shooting, a fact that lines up directly with the numerous other predictive programming techniques used in many forms of media in many different ways.

• A trailer that played before the movie depicted gangsters shooting up a movie theater. The trailer was promptly removed by Warner Brothers just hours after the massacre.

The tragedy that played out in an Aurora movie theater Friday was ironically paralleled as a classroom learning experience in a medical school in Parker the same day. 

Rocky VistaUniversity College of Osteopathic Medicine is in the middle of holding specialized classes in disaster life support for 150 second-year medical students. ...one of the scenarios being used to train the students is how to respond if a shooter fires at people in a movie theater and also uses a bomb in the attack.

"The irony is amazing, just amazing," said Rocky Vista Dean Dr. Bruce Dubin.

Aurora Massacre: “Is that the dude in the white car nearby?”

James Holmes was NOT arrested coming out of Theater 9Listening to the audio of the police communications this morning I found something very interesting… they did not arrest Holmes coming out of the back of the theater. He was found in the car. We also now know he was drugged. These developments support my original conclusion.
It would appear from the transcripts of the police communications that they saw Holmes in the car, looked in and saw the weapons, and broke the window to gain access to him.
After a police officer reports that someone needs to check out the report of a guy in the back parking lot wearing a gas mask, immediately another officer asks “Is that the dude in the white car nearby?“
The recording is here. Scroll to the bottom to find the video. I will try to post it. The following transcript starts at the 2:40 mark.
cop 1 – “I need a marked car behind the theater, Sable side,  suspect in a gas mask”
dispatch – “we need cars south side. suspect in a gas mask”

cop 2 – “Is that the dude in the white car nearby?“Apparently cop 2 is already back there or looking down the rear of the building and he sees James Holmes already INSIDE the white car. “Sable side” refers to Sable street which I believe the officer is intending to direct attention to the right side of the rear of the building since he says “rear of the building, Sable side” and coincidentally, that is where “a” gas mask was found.
Immediately, only a second later, another officer sees James already in the car and apparently not moving the car.
cop 3 – “everyone hold the air one second, cars where that white car in the rear of the lot, is that a suspect?”
cop 2 – “YES! we’ve got rifles, gas masks,  ive got a open door going into the theater, OK hold that position, hold that suspect!”
This in itself seems to suggest that one individual was seen along the back of the theater, Sable side, still wearing the gas mask and just a minute later a cop goes back there and sees Holmes already in his car.

Supporting that hypothesis, there are two more notable transitions from the officers on the scene:
cop 4 – “one of the shooters might be wearing a white and blue plaid shirt”
-
cop 2(?) – “suspect says there’s only one but I am getting conflicting descriptions from the witnesses out here”
Could the witnesses talking to the cops giving them “conflicting descriptions” be talking about another person who shed his tactical gear, wearing a white and blue plaid shirt and the gas mask be the guy who ran down the length of the rear of the building to the “Sable side” where he finally ditched the gas mask and escaped to Sable st.?
Whatever questions this brings up, one thing is for sure, the police did not detain Holmes as he came out of the building, like is being reported. It would appear based on this evidence that Holmes was already in the car.
Combined with the photo of the broken rear passenger window, and the developing story that he was drugged at the time of arrest, it would appear my original hypothesis may in fact be accurate.

• James Holmes goes out Tuesday night drinking and someone doses him. They do it early Wed morning so they have time in his apartment to set up those elaborate traps (how would James have known how to construct those anyway?)

• They keep him drugged and off the radar till Thursday night when they go to the theater. They make sure to park in that spot, right next to the exit of the theater.

• The assailant goes in, fakes the phone call, comes out, goes to the car where James is still drugged, gets the gear on, goes in and attacks the innocent civilians.

• Then the assailant comes out the exit door, leans against it while dropping the gun and removing almost all of his gear with the exception of the mask.

• He runs past the car dropping the gear next to it in a heap, opens the door with James inside, tosses the guns into the car, the shotgun has been there all along, and goes straight down the length of the building toward the corner, toward the camera, drops his mask directly under the camera, and heads off to the nearby street where a car is waiting (cruising slowly) to pick him up.

• Holmes is reported to have been “meek” when arrested. This might also explain why he wasn’t shot by police… he was incapacitated, incoherent, or generally not a threat.

• Holmes, who is being held under suicide watch in solitary confinement, remained in his murderous “Joker” persona after his arrival, a jailhouse worker told the Daily News.“He thinks he’s acting in a movie,” a prison employee told the Daily News.

(CNN) -- Colorado shooting suspect James Holmes was a patient of a University of Colorado psychiatrist before last week's attack at a movie theater that killed 12 people and wounded scores, according to a court document filed Friday by his public-defense lawyers.

The disclosure was in a request by Holmes for authorities to immediately hand over a package he sent to Dr. Lynne Fenton at the university's Anschutz Medical Campus.

 As I give this update, I want all of those who were affected by this horrifying event in any way to know that I have been praying for them and have been asking for comfort to come upon them. 


We continue to find out more about James Holmes and it seems that he knew something was going on in himself that he could not control. With the sending of the notebook to the University of Colorado Anschutz medical campus in Aurora to a psychiatrist (relationship unknown at this time), where it was laying in the mail room since July 12th, James Holmes must have been reaching out for help that he could have received had the mail room been functioning properly. 

According to various news stories, of which we don't actually know who to trust or who is trying to over dramatize what is in the notebook, there were drawings that supposedly showed exactly what he was going to do during the massacre.   Other sources say there were stick figures (plural) shooting at other people.  And still other sources say that there were actual details.  Since there is a gag order, we may not find out for some time and I don't know how any of these sources could have the information that they seem to have regarding the notebook.

That's all for now, except, the call out for help could still be within the range of a Manchurian Candidate who is seeing things that he does not understand and wants to know what is going on.  I could definitely be wrong and he is still guilty of the crimes he has committed, but he is definitely the profile of a Manchurian Candidate.

It's been less than one week since the awful shootings in Aurora, Colorado.  The memories of viewing the news story over and over the first few days is ingrained in my mind forever.  It's like the world stopped for those days.
As the reporters and anchors reported, they fed us new little tidbits of information for us to snack on while the rest was repeated over and over, along with the video and pictures.  There were panels of people who knew nothing personal about the people involved or had experienced this horrific-type of act who participated in lengthy discussions about it as if it were personal and as if they had knowledge that none of us had gleamed from watching the news coverage.  All I could think to myself was  "blah.  blah blah.  blah blah"...because they knew nothing about which they were speaking.  They were all just filling time while the horror-filled videos and pictures filled the screen and were repeated over and over.

While the terrorizing videos and witness interviews streamed, I was reminded of events in the past in which this had happened and how life changed then.  However, since the past horrific and terrorizing acts of mass violence, I found myself wondering if this was a "lone wolf" scenario, but with a twist.  

Could we be witnessing a "Manchurian candidate" situation? 

After all, James Holmes, was not known for anything out of the ordinary that would have caught the attention of any of the people who knew him.  He just seemed to be a typical smart guy with limited social skills, because of his book smart activity.  He was a young man going about his daily life like anyone else.

In fact, his behavior was very much like that of someone with undiagnosed and untreated Asperger's Syndrome, which is on the Autism Spectrum.  This syndrome is one in which they are extremely sensitive to other people, although they become more and more the observer and may say things that may not quite fit in.  They have social issues and become fixated on one subject, becoming very brilliant in that subject.  A lot of times, they have issues with connecting on a social level with others, and that includes their instructors.  This type of social response would show up like this...

John Jacobson, supervisor of the neurobiology lab at Salk, said he asked Holmes to create several online demonstrations of the lab's work on temporal perceptions. Jacobson said he repeatedly tried to explain to Holmes exactly how to do the computer programming, but Holmes kept insisting on a different approach -- one that did not work.

"He was really, oddly, stubborn," Jacobson said. 

Jacobson said he made a point of sitting down to lunch with Holmes at least a half-dozen times, trying to draw him out and encourage him, but found it impossible to make conversation. "He was extremely shy," he said. "It was really hard for him to say anything. You had to ask yes or no questions." 

At the end of the summer, Holmes had to make a presentation to his fellow interns about the work. A video, widely circulated online since the shooting, shows him smiling shyly and talking with some confidence.

As far as is known at this time, James Holmes has never displayed any schizophrenic behavior of any kind, which would have likely shown up in his adolescence and most certainly would have presented some sort of personality type like what was indicated in the theater, only not usually that severe.

Now the question is where this behavior would have come from.  Was this behavior from the neuroscience studies he was doing that included altered consciousness?  During his internship, was he a human trial subject who was created into this monster based on a key word or phrase by a specific person?

This is what he was like on a normal, every day basis...

For most of his 24 years, James Holmes seemed to be doing everything right. 

He worked for a summer as a counselor at a camp for needy kids, guiding them through activities designed to teach empathy, compassion and good citizenship. Another summer, he snagged a prestigious internship at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies. 

He attended church with his family in their quiet, upper-middle-class San Diego neighborhood, listening to his sister play bass in the worship band. He breezed through high school and college, taking a strong interest in science and graduating with honors from the University of California, Riverside. 

Friends and acquaintances of Holmes say they had no inkling that anything was awry with him -- much less that he would be arrested Friday morning outside a movie theater in Aurora, Colorado, clad head to toe in body armor and accused of killing 12 people and injuring 58 in one of the worst mass shootings in U.S. history. 

"It's absurd. It's so out of character for this young man," said Jerry Borgie, senior pastor at Penasquitos Lutheran Church in San Diego, where the Holmes family worshipped. "James had goals. He was going to succeed."

Now, you may be asking why I mention the option of the Manchurian candidate.  Here is the definition for those of you who are not familiar.

At the Salk Institute in La Jolla, California, he studied with his mentor, John Jacobson.   They focused on the abstract neuroscience subjects such as;

So, who was it that disliked this young man so much that they would program him to do this evil? Or, was this extremely horrifying even choreographed so that it could be a diversion from the current political scene.  Or, yet another theory, is Al Qaeda involved as has been the case in Colorado in past experiences.

Could James Holmes have been programmed as a sleeper agent for a terror plot as, yes, a Manchurian candidate?  The possibility is certainly there.  After all, Homeland Security released the following in May 2012.

In the recent past, there has been suspicion of a terror suspect being an operative of Al Qaeda.  In 2009 24-year-old Najibullah Zazi was accused of being an Al Qaeda operative and it was said that he was under surveillance in the Denver area, along with 4 other people, said to be a "cell".  He had come from New York and admitted to undergoing training in explosives and bomb-making while overseas after a lengthy amount of interrogation by officials.   source: FBI.GOV

This story is so much different than that of James Holmes.  He is not a foreigner.  He has not been involved in the same things in the same way, so I don't think that he could be an operative of Al Qaeda unless someone within the neuroscience program he was involved in is an operative that somehow programmed James Holmes into a Manchurian candidate.  That is not unheard of...foreign people seeking positions within certain companies or organizations to prime people that are citizens to work for the foreign cause.
James Holmes is named by Occupy Wall Street Names Colorado  as Occupy Black Bloc Member.  Could someone within that group have programmed James Holmes as a diversion or as a reason for Obama to push forward his gun control laws or something else?  After all, Obama is so closely linked to the Occupy Wall Street...

The user agrees with Warner's conclusions, though as many have pointed out neither the Occupier nor Warner offer any proof.

However, it certainly is more logical than connecting a Tea Party member, as ABC's Brian Ross did within a few hours of the shooting. As Warner states on his website, Holmes fits with the Black Bloc appearance/MO—black clothing, gas mask, etc., and the oddity of Holmes' Internet footprint—or rather lack thereof. Despite being "on the grid," so to speak, going to UC Riverside for four years, attending University of Colorado, etc., a Google search shows absolutely nothing, which fits the Black Bloc MO—that is, staying off the radar. Warner also did an extensive database search (Social Security number, credit rating, etc.), finding, again, nothing. Aside from his use of Internet forums regarding guns and survival such as www.ar15.com where he was discussing gun transactions of the FFL and FTF in Colorado on their forum in 2005.  
He additionally interacted on www.preparedsociety.com where he had a discussion in 2008 from Aurora, Colorado about chemicals, but is discussing them in relation to putting out fires and how to do so based on different structures without getting hurt.  At the end of one of his forum posts he states, "People are more important than things."On another post on www.preparedsociety.com James Holmes discusses the various types of gas masks and their benefits.  He says, "The M10, M17, Israeli civilian, etc...are all effective".  He also says "You function test your firearms.  You taste the food you can.  You test your mechanical backup systems.  Why would you NOT test the one thing that can keep you alive long enough to get out of dodge in a chemical situation?".  This discussion was also in 2008 from Aurora, Colorado.
The above information is indicative that he is a member with the Black Bloc. This information would all be taught to the members.
Again, I wonder about the Manchurian candidate issue.
CBS News is reporting that there is a huge amount of evidence that this attack was planned since, at least, May 2012.  Regarding the evidence of shipments and loads of ammo and such, wouldn't that possibly be for the membership Black Bloc as well as for himself?!

(CBS News) Sources say investigators have found key evidence in dumpsters and trash bins outside of James Holmes' apartment, including a shipping label from an internet ammunition store called BulkAmmo.com. 

Investigators also tell CBS News they have recovered a surveillance video of James Holmes picking up approximately 150 pounds of ammunition at a Federal Express outlet in Colorado.
They've interviewed a UPS driver who says Holmes had 90 packages delivered to his workplace on the University of Colorado medical campus. 

And sources say over the past several months, Holmes spent about $15,000 as he was putting together his deadly arsenal -- guns, chemicals, explosives, and ammunition. 

It all adds up to a methodically planned attack, said Aurora police chief Dan Oates. 

"What we're seeing here is evidence I think of some calculation and deliberation," said Oates.
Investigators suspect Holmes accelerated his planning in late May, when he purchased the first of the four guns found at the shooting scene. Over the Internet, police say, Holmes bought a staggering amount of ammunition. 

"Through the Internet he purchased over 6,000 rounds of ammunition, more than 3,000 rounds of. 223 ammunition for the assault rifle, 3,000 rounds of .40 caliber ammunition for the two Glocks in his possession and 300 rounds for the 12 gauge shotgun." 

Holmes did most his shopping on Internet sites. And he was clearly in a hurry. 

A receipt from TacticalGear.com shows on July 2 -- two-and-a-half weeks before the shootings -- Holmes purchased a bulletproof vest and other equipment. He paid extra to have it shipped by 2nd-day air.

There was a snap somewhere.  There was a keyword or phrase.  Then, action happened, academics went down, he withdrew from the neuroscience program and from society to plan this.  This mind had been tapped into and the lever lifted.  There was no turning back.  In fact, a gun range owner says that James Holmes sounded "freakish" over the phone and he had sent in an online application for the range...

He explained that he called Holmes twice to try and reach out to him, and both times he received strange messages on his answering machine from Holmes. 

He said the voice was “guttural, freakish, maybe drunk. Just weird and bizarre — a deep, guttural, forced voice”… 

“It bothered me so much I told my staff, ‘If this guy shows up, he gets nothing until I meet him,’ ” Rotkovich said. 

After that, Rotkovich tried calling Holmes one more time, but didn’t receive a message back. When the news about the shooting broke on Friday, one of Rotkovich’s staffers recognized the name and connected it to the application Holmes sent them last month.

Another thing that makes me believe this is a Manchurian candidate situation is the stark difference in appearance before and after.  There is a complete hypnotic change into The Joker.

Holmes stalked the aisles of the theater, shooting at random, as panicked movie-watchers in the packed auditorium tried to escape, witnesses said.

I needn't go into more detail than that regarding the happenings of the event.  That's mainstream media's job...to repeat and repeat the terror.

The first night in jail, he was still in character.  The event phrase, or word to calculate his movement had not yet worn out yet.

The Dark Knight massacre suspect James Holmes is behaving in an irrational manner, showing no remorse and believes he is in a movie, according to prison employees. 

Arrested without a struggle early Friday morning, Holmes reportedly has begun spitting indiscriminately as he is held at Arapahoe Detention Center and has been placed in solitary confinement for his own safety. 

'He was spitting at the door and spitting at the guards,' said one inmate who left the jail today.

Furthermore, 24-year-old Holmes' lack of any form of contrition for his crimes is unsettling prison employees.

'Let's just say he hasn't shown any remorse,' said a staff member at Arapahoe Detention Center.
'He thinks he's acting in a movie.'

Placed on suicide watch and put in solitary confinement, Holmes apparently ate a breakfast of grits and sausage.

Now, the word or phrase for the deed is worn off, leaving him out of character, probably out of memory of the event, and very out of himself.  Of course, his mentor has taught him how to make time change.  Okay, that was mean, but this kid doesn't know nothing.  He is appearing in court dazed and confused.
